First, this public relations campaign had to promote that the ongoing effort our organization's communications efforts to relay our stories and ideas is like circulating the lifeblood of the church.

It also had to introduce a somewhat controversial move by BIC leadership slated to retire the long-running and beloved central subscription-based magazine and replace it with a new widely-distributed magazine and newly redesigned church web site. Presentations of the campaign suggested the move was like a heart by-pass to better that circulation.

(The campaign also intentionally aimed to work on another level, reminding the overall church audiences that circulation works best when it goes both ways, thereby encouraging their ongoing participation in the overall effort.)

The developed symbols were used on buttons and displays at regional and bi-national gatherings, then in articles throughout the main publications, driving home the idea as an all-out public relations effort.
