Several of my free-lance clients in my early career discovered my ability to use comic illustrations to give them unique print advertising.

Weekly newspaper ads for Alex Minoff's Video Center (right) were often likely to feature either caricatures of the owner or the cartoon character Mortimer the Cat interacting with the latest video technology. Done before the earliest desktop publication systems, the technique usually involved a drawing hand cut to existing artwork.

Nida Man (below) was an ad series formatted as a comic strip in order to stand out from the other advertising fare in Central Pennsylvania Business Journal, where it ran monthly.
