With two children's books already written on people in Brethren in Christ history, an effort was launched to produce more of them to create a series of BIC stories that could be used in their children's classes.

They presented stories of BIC people like Sister Sarah Bert, who as a young woman from rural Kansas at the turn of the 20th century, headed for the big city to answer a "call of God." She ended up being a fundamental part of starting a significant rescue mission effort that lasted there for several years under her leadership.

In addition to Sister Sarah book,
I was also editor and layout artist for
Two Brothers, One Mission,
the story of how Walter and Myron Taylor worked together on a missionary ministry by having one stay home in America to earn money for the effort.

(Unfortunately, the series came to an abrupt halt during a significant round of budget cuts faced by all the church ministries soon after the campaign was launched.)
