Layout & Design
My work as interim artist for the offices of Collector Communications on their 128-page, full-color glossy magazine proved excellent experience for future publication and administrative work to come.
The techniques I learned as part of their small three-person office ingrained several managment and production techniques I would then put into good use at the smaller-staffed BIC offices and as a design instructor.
In these earlier days of electronic publishing, this small team was breaking in brand new copies of QuarkXPress. It would go on to become the new industry standard, a run which I went on to join as an expert for several years.
